Thanks to advances in care and research, more individuals than ever in our community are living into adulthood. But the systems designed to support them have not kept pace. Too many adults and their families face a fragmented care landscape, with limited resources and few clear pathways to navigate the transition from pediatric to adult care.

PPMD is working to change that.

Through our Adult Care Initiative, we are taking a comprehensive, data-driven approach to transform adult care. Our care landscape analysis will result in actionable recommendations for improving the transition to adult care. These efforts will deepen our understanding of what adults with Duchenne and Becker truly need—and, more importantly, how to deliver it.
